What has “One Mountain, Many Paths”?

TJ’s Religious Exploration program! Welcome!

As our new year of RE programming begins in August, all groups above the Kindergarten level will be traveling a world of religious diversity.

Adults who have knowledge to share about Islam, Buddhism, Paganism, Humanism, Baha’i, Hinduism, Judaism, or perhaps another faith tradition and invited to share your knowledge and interest within the RE program. Then you too can follow your own path up the mountain of faith development.

We refer to what used to be called our Religious Education program as Religious Exploration (RE) as a reflection of our intention to provide an RE experience that is a lively and exciting process of discovery—not just more school. Unlike some Sunday School programs you may recall, we do not teach one dogmatic approach to religion. RE at TJUC seeks to nurture a search for individual truth and meaning in an environment that lifts up a respect for the commonalities among all people.
